One of the photos showed it had a tailored longer fitted waist and that is why I purchased it. However when I got it and tried it on it has a short boxy shape, not what I wanted at all. I agree with the other reviewer about the buttons. They are numerous cheap and garish looking. I cut off most of them, and covered the rest with a teal enamel, to try to make it more subdued, but as yet, I haven't worn it much.Product seems to run small also.

The way the model is posed it looks like the jacket is nipped in at the waist. I LOVE a pretty military jacket with jeans so when it arrived I took it to the local dry cleaners for a quick alteration. I had it taken in about 2 inches at the waist and now it has the expensive designer look I like. I bought the jacket a size larger than usual because I hate jackets to look pulled anywhere. This gave the seamstress lots of leeway in altering it. Usually they will refuse to "let out" a too small jacket because the seams are too small. It cost $25 for the alterations but I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE the jacket now. I might try to find a blouse with ruffled sleeves too. I like the idea of a pencil skirt too like another reviewer mentioned. I see a pencil skirt in black, cream ruffled blouse, opaque black tights, ankle boots and of couse the gorgeous teal jacket. The jacket would look equally great thrown over a grey t-shirt with jeans for a walk in the park or casual dinner out. The color of the jacket is absolutely enchanting! I hope Newport News reads our comments, Imagine this same jacket with a better fit and metal buttons!

This jacket is wonderful, the fabric is beautiful and the trim everyone does not like suits the jacket. It is good quality and fits beautifully. The color is wonderful with jeans. I would purchase in another color.

The jacket seems to be of good quality material. I was slightly disappointed in the trim quality, however, as well as the cheap buttons put on such a stylish jacket. I may replace them, even though there are 20 of them. It also runs quite small, it seems. Incentive!!!

This jacket is adorable and the color is rich. I've gotten many compliments on it.
