i ordered two of these jackets and they werent at all like i expected by the picture very disapointed

Looks great.. However I was expecting this to fit for my newphew but it fit me :). But it looks great.

This is a good jacket for carrying along on hikes for contingencies as it packs small, has 3 zippered pockets, a stowable hood, is waterproof and windproof, and looks great. But it is definitely NOT one that you would want to wear routinely while active because it is not breatheable. I carry it on my bike in case it rains, but if ever I have to put it on my arms and shoulders are dripping in no time. It is vented which helps a bit with the chest and shoulder areas, but not the arms. NOT a good deal anywhere close to the retail price, but at a closeout price under $20 I'd get another one.

I had no problem and no cost returning this when my family had actually purchased 2 by accident.

I use a bicycle to commute to work on a daily basis. I purchased this rain suit for the cold rainy days. It does do a good job as far as keeping you dry from the rain but unfortunately when I get to work I am soaked anyways from all the heat and sweat I generated from biking. This suit seems to trap everything. I'd say after about 15 minutes of biking I am drenched in sweat and nastiness. After that point the suit gets very uncomfortable and starts to stick to my skin. This suit is fine if you aren't doing anything to physical but I would not recommend it to someone who plans on doing anything more than just walking outside. *After about four months of wear the zipper wont zip up*

I went ahead and took the advice of another reviewer that said you get a size up to fit clothes under it. I got a large instead of my usual medium. And it was HUGE. Way too big. I could have fit clothes under the medium easily. I say get your own size. Don't upsize.

I started walking to work and I was looking for a rain suit which would protect me from rain as it takes me about 25 minutes to walk to work. I tested it in heavy downpour and it kept me dry. I did buy one size larger than I needed as suggested by other reviewers and now I can wear my small backpack without any problems and it keeps my stuff too dry(in backpack). It is nice suit can also work as windbreaker/light jacket for light/minimalist backpackers. The hood is nice and can be unfolded even while you are wearing the jacket. The hood stays in the jacket collar and is held by a Velcro which is very easy to undo. The only downside was that it took almost 4 weeks to ship, but I think it's advertised that it ships in 3/4 weeks.

Just received this purchase for daughter to wear at college. She has not worn this rain suit in the rain. Excellent features, fit and looks for the price.

I'm a college student who must walk across campus on a daily basis to get to my classes. It seems like at the beginning of each year there is one particularly bad rain shower that drenches the students from head to toe. Last year after this semester's welcome back shower, I finally got around to buying some rain boots. This year (though my feet were wonderfully dry) I decided it was time to invest in a rain jacket. After some searching around and plenty of review reading, I decided this one was the one for me. I wanted something that would not only function but also hold up for a long time (which is why I went ahead and got the slightly more expensive jacket). I only got it recently though, so I haven't been able to test its wear and tear. As far as function goes, it kept me very dry today on its first real trial run. The velcro issues mentioned in other reviews have not been an issue for me. The only thing I've noticed that is slightly bothersome is that it seems like the hood is a little too shallow. If I'm wearing a ponytail in my hair, the hood doesn't shield my face from the rain very well and constantly feels like it's falling off the back of my head, but my roommate who has a different brand of rain jacket was having the same problem, so it's not marmot unique. Other than that, it fits perfectly (I followed marmot's sizing chart), and I am very happy. I actually look forward to rainy days now!

I did quite a bit of "research" before deciding on this rain jacket, and I'm pleased with it. I wanted the pit zips, brim on the hood, and the brown color. It is light weight, a flattering shape and true to size.One other reviewer didn't like the Velcro down the front flap, on cuffs, and on pockets, but I actually like it......makes me feel all sealed up in wind or rain!

The features of this jacket were as described by the various sellers. I found that the size wasn't quite right...smaller than other rainwear and jackets I own.

This was given as a gift to my daughter. She loved everything about it, which is saying a lot as she is very particular about fit and style. It looks good and feels good on but there hasn't been any rain to give it a real test. There are times when her job requires that she be in the rain and this seems to be the right jacket for them.
